The measurement of RESPECT of the world is wealth, power, educational attainment and title. The measurement of RESPECT of the godly is goodness, kindness and love.

The measurement of RIGHTEOUSNESS of the world is self centered, self gratifying, men’s appealing. The measurement of RIGHTEOUSNESS of the godly is no other than the righteousness of Christ through faith alone in Him.

The measurement of LOVE of the worldly is self-love through financial stability, wealth and power,( they called it practical love). The measurement of LOVE of the godly is sacrificial, selflessness, passion in accordance to the pleasure of God, and the emotion that God is the center and is above all.

The measurement of HAPPINESS of the worldly is unsatisfying, unending pursuit of worldly pleasures on earth through wealth, power and fame. The measurement of HAPPINESS of the godly is God through Christ alone who is the all in all.

The measurement of the ABILITY of the worldly is trusting one’s self. The measurement of the ABILITY of the godly is to TRUST God with all its heart.

Lastly, the measurement of LIFE of the worldly to live a life to the fullest of all the pleasures in the world, while the measurement of LIFE of the godly is to live a life in Christ and to die with Him is gain.

The sad thing is this, most of the professing godly/christians fall into the worldly philosophy of life.
Paul says: Colossians 3:1-3 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

1 John 2:15-16″ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world”.
Galatians 5:16-17 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would”.
